MINDFULNESS FOR LIFE COURSES 

A COURSE OF SIX SESSIONS TEACHING YOU MINDFULNESS SKILLS TO ENHANCE WELLBEING AND PROMOTE A HAPPIER, MORE RESTFUL LIFE

This course will teach you to become more resilient in dealing with life circumstances, help you to develop self-awareness and above all, feel more fully alive. Mindfulness has become the most popular training method to help relieve stress, alleviate anxiety, enhance self-esteem, improve sleep and reduce chronic pain.

In this course Trish introduces meditation practices, group dialogue and discussions aimed at enhancing awareness and developing mindful ways of living. There is a strong emphasis on learning skills and methods that can be applied in everyday situations and on sharing our experiences.

There will be a maximum of ten participants and suitable for anyone who is interested in gaining these life-enhancing skills.

Week One | Planting Mindfulness Seeds
Discovering mindfulness. Understanding our autopilot and natural potential.

Week Two | Grounding Through the Body
Enjoying mindful movements and befriending the breath to enhance wellbeing and greater clarity of mind.

Week Three | Cultivating Awareness
Recognising thoughts and emotions to become aware of unhelpful patterns of thinking and acting.

Week Four | Weeding Out Negative Patterns
Managing our attitudes and responses to bring about the changes we desire to live a happier life.

Week Five | Strengthening Roots
Taking good care of ourselves through kindness and compassion to be the best of who we are.

Week Six | Growing Outwards and Upwards
Learning ways to stay Mindful and keep growing in the right direction

Fee: £185


ADD-ONS:

Stay for a nutrition packed lunch for an extra fee of £15.

Tag on a 50 minute personalised holistic treatment or one-to-one Stress Therapy session for an extra fee of £45.

EAT YOURSELF WELL COURSES 

A DAY LONG COURSE WHICH TEACHES YOU HOW TO USE FOOD AS MEDICINE AND INCREASE YOUR AWARENESS OF HOW FOOD AFFECTS HEALTH

Come and spend a day at the Acorn to learn more about how to use food as medicine (to quote old Hippocrates!) If being as well as you can be is one of your objectives, and  becoming aware of how food affects health and using it as a powerful force for transformation, this day is a must for you and any friends and family who think like you.

The day will begin with a group talk (9.30am-10.30am) from our Nutritional Therapist, Tracy Land, titled “Eat Yourself Well”. She will cover some of the nutritional basics of good health and help you cut through the confusing minefield of the research on food and nutrition. She will look at some of the key foods to introduce into your’s and your family’s diets to maximise your energy, mood, sleep, immune system and all-round functioning.

Included in the price of the workshop will be a goodie bag for each participant

PERSONAL 1:1 SESSIONS

Following the group session Tracy will be available for one hour 1:1 sessions for anyone who would like to use nutrition for specific health issues they have. These have to be booked in advance and cost £70.

MORE ABOUT TRACY LAND

Tracy is an experienced Nutritional Therapist, who trained at the renowned Institute for Optimum Nutrition and has been in practice for 10 years. She sees clients with a wide range of conditions and is particularly interested in using mindfulness in the context of how we eat as part of the journey back to health. As such, she aims to help clients improve their stress-handling abilities, first and foremost to improve their health (as stress is frequently a key driver of illness), but also to enable people to experience greater happiness in their day-to-day lives.
