Nutritional Therapy is the application of nutrition science in the promotion of optimal health and wellbeing, peak performance and individual care. The way in which we fuel ourselves is vital to our wellbeing. At the Acorn we aim to inspire our guests to eat well and nourish ourselves in as naturally as possible, finding pleasure in wholesome, satisfying foods.

The Acorn provides mainly vegan food that is gluten free and can cater for dietary requirements where needed. We are incredibly lucky to have the expertise of Tracy Land. She is our valued guidance at The Acorn on nutrition, helping us to choose nutritive lunches but also offers one to one consultations.

You will also see specialised nutrition workshops on the calendar which we aim to offer once a month. This will consist of a full day at The Acorn with a workshop in the morning and 30-60 minute consultations with Tracy, use of the spa facilities and any treatments.

I am a fully qualified Nutritional Therapist, based in York, working with clients from across Yorkshire and beyond. I qualified, following 3 years of training, with a foundation degree and diploma in nutritional therapy in 2006, from the renowned Institute of Optimum Nutrition in London, founded by Patrick Holford.

Since qualifying I have been practising Nutritional Therapy, advising clients with a wide range of different health conditions. The most common being weight gain, food intolerance and food allergy, IBS and a range of gut problems, low energy (including chronic fatigue syndrome), mood and sleep problems, excess stress and anxiety.

I am also an Optimum Energy Coach and have a particular interest in ‘mindfulness’ – applied both generally and its therapeutic beneifits when applied to food and nutrition.

My previous career entailed a first degree in education, a masters degree and a 20 year career in Health Service management, research and consultancy.

All treatments can be tagged onto any of our day packages starting from just £80. Each option includes lunch and use of the facilities.
